Electronic Arts' digital denizens debut in free-to-play social network game that lets players mix mischief with real relationships in virtual world. Check out how your homeboy can turn into your archenemy in the blink of an eye in The Sims Social. You're Good to Go! Latest on The Sims Social. EA vs. Zynga suit settled Legal battle between megapublisher and social gaming juggernaut not going forward; terms of the settlement not announced.
Electronic Arts points to the two Facebook games and accuses Zynga of copyright infringement. Zynga denies the allegation. The gaming giant filed its lawsuit in the U. District Court for the Northern District of California today. My bet is that this lawsuit will end up being settled out of court with Zynga paying out to EA.
You could be right David. A lot of potentially big lawsuits get settled. Kingman Cheng Illustrator and Animator 9 years ago. Joy, another big firm with too many lawyers sueing a big firm with too many lawyers over something the public couldn't care a toss about.
This'll be big news until tomorrow when the next one gets filed. Please DON'T keep us posted. Edited 1 times. Last edit by Paul Johnson on 4th August am. Whether this can be seen all though the game, or whether they had to look deep to get such close pictures would be interesting to know, if it is the first then I am surprised that Zynga thought they could use these tactics on such a big player, rather than with a game like Tiny Tower where there was little chance of funding a legal challenge.
The question one needs to look at is what level of differences and game design define game A vs Game B. Then the real winner will be consumers.
I wonder how the anti-techdirt trolls will twist themselves in knots on this one. ZK said the no hire policy is bad for the little guy, anyone not of big tech can see it's objectively bad for the little guy and he makes mention of the evidence that google was involved in a no hire deal. If google is paying techdirt to be pro google then they should demand their money back.
LOL Zynga! There are many more things far more enjoyable than their pay to win games. Sticking your dick in a wood chipper happens to be one of them. Cleaning wounds with Turpentine and a Brillo pad. Getting a blowjob from a shark. Making fun of Mike Tyson in punching range. The TSA "okay maybe not that". Two evil companies who should just disappear duking it out. Whoever wins, their employees and customers lose. I'm really not convinced either of them could get any dirtier, so drag away through the mud, ill get popcorn out :.
