Hey, just wondering if it's actually possible to link Pokemon Red and Blue together and trade between two Game Boy Advances using the 4 player link cable, or can it only be done with older game boys since the games aren't for Game Boy advance?
Also, do you know if it would work with Red and Crystal or Blue and Crystal? I only make the distinction because Crystal is for GBC.

It's unlikely you'll ever see them or use them unless you pick up 2 classic Game Boys , but the Classic Link cable looks more like a USB connector PC end, not device end on each end. All you need is the GBA Universal Link Cable available on Bizrate third part, which I purchased and works great - if it doesn't work at first swap the cable the other way and it'll work. I have noticed that there's no difference in format code between GB games that operate differently on different consoles, but they can be split into 3 different groups.
SGB "Grey" cartridges - many of these are only identifiable by the "Super Game Boy" logo on the label, and use enhanced colour schemes only on the Super Game Boy itself. Most also have custom borders. Most also have custom Super Game Boy borders. I only know of 2 of these - the 2 Zelda "oracles" games. When in a GBA, a "bonus" shop opens up that sells a total of 3 items, one of which is unachievable any other way.
